An operation involving Calvia police, the Guardia Civil and the National Police took place in Magalluf early yesterday morning that was aimed at the problem of prostitutes on the streets of the resort who are in fact no more than violent muggers. Four women were detained for infractions under the law governing foreigners (presumably, not having any permit to be in Spain), while fourteen women in all were identified.
