MALLORCA TODAY - Weather Alcúdia and Pollensa 3 January 2013

No Frills Excursions

Morning high (7.15am): 10C
Forecast high: 15C
Sea conditions (northern Mallorca): North 7 occasionally gale force 8, easing during the morning to Northeast 5 and by the evening to North 3 to 4. Amber alert for coastal conditions.

Wild morning, winds up to 60kph or more at times, some bursts of rain last night with a rogue storm around Pollensa but not a murmur elsewhere. Amber alert for the coasts, so very special care needed along coastal roads and by beaches as waves will be high. The wind should calm down later and there may be some sun. Tomorrow will be much better, still breezy but sunny and a little warmer. The Three Kings forecast for the evening of the 5th and for the 6th remains ok.

Evening update (18.30): Things got better in that the wind died down, the sun came out for a time but it still rained a bit more. A high of just 14.4C (Puerto Pollensa).
